Informationen zum Autor Vicki Mistacco is a specialist of the French novel and of women's writing in French across the centuries. She teaches at Wellesley College. Klappentext This anthology in two parts is a compilation of French women's literature from the twelfth century to the present day. The texts include both excerpts and complete works by writers from Christine de Pizan to Monique Wittig. The collection of women writers includes not only those who have long since made their way into the canon (Christine de Pizan, Colette) and those who are conventionally included in courses on women's literature (Beauvoir, Duras, Wittig), but also those whose significance as part of the literary tradition is only now being recognized, writers such as Helisenne de Crenne and Franoise de Graffigny. Each volume offers new critical insights to the texts, detailed footnotes, and an extensive bibliography.
