About the author










Thomas W. Wild, Ph.D., is a professor in the Aviation Technology Department at Purdue University. He holds or has held several FAA certifications, and is managing editor of the Aviation Technician Education Council Journal. He has written many articles and books, including the three previous editions of this guide.Dr. John M. Davis is an associate professor in the School of Aviation & Transportation Technology at Purdue University. He holds several FAA certifications and is the school's FAA Part 147 Program Director. He has authored numerous textbooks and articles in aviation journals and is currently serving on the board of directors for the Aviation Technician Education Council.
