The city-province of Kinshasa, like most large cities in the South, is faced with major sanitation problems. In the past, the city of Kinshasa was known as Kinshasa la belle, but as a result of growing insalubrity, it is now nicknamed Kinshasa la poubelle. This is the reason why the present study on the impact of the activities of the sanitation and public works board of Kinshasa on the environment, and more particularly the commune of LIMETE is a contribution to the research of ways and means allowing a happy outcome of the fight against insalubrity and to analyze the mechanisms set up by the provincial and/or municipal institution in order to sanitize the city and its surroundings The overall objective was to highlight the impact of the activities of the sanitation and public works authority of Kinshasa.
