Commentary on The Gospel of Mark
The CLIE Commentary series based on the Gospel of Mark is an essential text for the study of Christianity, since it exposes the messianic life of Jesus in detail, developing the first theology based on it. The plot of Mark's Gospel and the basis of its argument were used directly by Matthew and Luke, and indirectly by John.
Author Xavier Pikaza has included a variety of diagrams and tables, as well as explanatory texts inserted in the text itself or listed at the end of the different sections, which serve as a summary, and which help to draw connections with topics of current interest. N. en 1941, doctor en teología y filosofía, Xabier Pikaza Ibarrondo es uno de los más reconocidos teólogos españoles del momento.
Estudió en la Universidad Pontificia de Salamanca, la Universidad de Santo Tomás (Roma) y el Instituto Bíblico (Roma). Amplió sus estudios en las universidades de Bonn y Hamburgo, en Alemania. Obtuvo el Doctorado en Teología en la Universidad Pontificia de Salamanca (1965) y un Doctorado en Filosofía en la Universidad de Santo Tomás en Roma (1972). Ha desempeñado funciones docentes en diferentes universidades europeas y americanas.
