Taking the city of Campos dos Goytacazes/RJ as a scenario, it analyzes the perception of young residents aged between 18 and 29 years old in the Morar Feliz Housing Complexes about post-occupancy, especially their view of the new housing, the territory and the right to the city from the perspective of education, health, security, mobility, leisure, work, the future and how they appropriate the new housing space. According to the perception of young residents of the Morar Feliz Housing Complex (CHMF), and considering the socio-historical precariousness of public policies aimed at this part of the population, has their right to the city materialized? How do they perceive themselves within this context? In Campos dos Goytacazes, the location of the houses demonstrates the complexity of the interests at stake. With the adoption of specific policies that do not integrate housing projects in the urban context, it contributes to the maintenance of processes of peripheralization of the low-income population. The specificity of poor youth in urban policy in general was examined; and housing and housing policy in particular.
