About the author

Katie studied English Literature and Creative Writing at Royal Holloway and gained an MA in Poetic Practice. In 2010, she and her mother opened independent bookshop, Storytellers, Inc. Named Young Bookseller of the Year in 2012, Katie sits on the executive committee for World Book Day. She lives in Lytham St Annes in Lancashire.Kirsti graduated from Edinburgh College of Art in 2016 and turned her hand to illustrating children's books. She was named Picture Hooks Illustrator of the Year in 2017. She works from her studio on the outskirts of Newcastle, using a combination of dry and wet media to create her illustrations.
