Kerosene
Lamp is a collection of poems that I started to
write when I was in Egypt, and I continued writing when I moved to the U.A.E. My
colloquial poems monitor the Egyptian society during the period preceding the
so-called The Arab Spring, up to that defining moment and the events that
followed. This experience includes the documentary aspect as well as the
subjective aspect
