About the author

Peter lives with his wife and two kids in the Highlands of Scotland. When he's not drawing, he's reading or telling stories, playing hide and seek or ticky or dodgeball, making tree swings or gardening. He likes coffee and spends a lot of time looking at things like plants, mountains, chairs, tins of mushy peas or the squidgy expressions on people's faces. Emily S. Smith is a children's author, storyteller, book-lover and all-round nerd. She divides her time between writing for children, teaching in early childhood settings, and being the greatest aunt of all time (in her own opinion) to her nephews and niece. Emily is obsessed with language and its ability to connect people, create fantastical worlds, and explain ideas.
