"I dreamt that monsters came into my room." When children sleep, they dream. They are more often plagued by a nightmare than adults. But what exactly do children dream and what does their brain do during sleep? What mechanisms make children wake up from their dreams? This book looks at the connections between dreams, sleep, anxiety and development. It provides an insight into the world of children's dreams, which have so far found little reference in pedagogy. In particular, it deals with anxiety dreams, because here children need the emotional support of their caregivers. Dealing with the dream content can give children access to their fears, emotions and conflicts. Parents and pedagogical professionals can also learn more about the child through dream conversations and learn to better understand the child's development.
