Jesus' words in the Gospel and quite contrary to what Paul said in his Epistles. Can two people speak contrary to each to other and each speak the truth? Can anyone speak contrary to YHVH and still speak truth? Paul was a self-proclaimed Pharisee and Jesus told us to be cautious of the teachings (doctrines) of the Pharisee. Why? Jesus also told us that they were "lawless hypocrites". Paul himself was often accused of being a liar. So, can we trust what he said? In the same book that contains Paul's epistles, we also find the words of YHVH's anointed Prophet (Messiah). If we compare their words it will become evident if Paul spoke truth, or error. Ultimately, we all have to choose between following Paul's teachings and following Jesus' teachings - and Jesus has the words of eternal life. Jesus knew what he was saying when he said he is to be our only teacher, it's too bad more people don't accept him in that role.
About the author
I was in my senior year at a major Protestant Seminar when I found that I couldn't reconcile Jesus' words the Christian Church doctrines I was to teach and preach. I had to choose between the Church and Jesus, so I chose Jesus and left the Seminary. I have rejected all Christian Church Doctrines, and consider myself to be a truth seeker, seeking God's truth from the Scriptures alone.
