A cross-sectional study was carried out to study the correlation of BMI with rearfoot angle, medial longitudinal arch angle, tibial torsion angle of right and left foot in normal, overweight and obese adolescents aged 10 to 19 years. 235 adolescents were assessed for the study (118 males and 117 females) who met the inclusion criteria; of which 115 were normal weight and 120 were overweight or obese. Adolescents were assessed for BMI using their height and weight. Goniometer was used to assess rearfoot angle, medial longitudinal arch angle and tibial torsion angle. Data was analysed using Pearson's correlation coefficient to find the correlation; and significance was seen among them. Results of this study demonstrated that a strong positive correlation was seen for BMI with rearfoot angle (r value= 0.73 for right and r value= 0.72 for left) and strong negative correlation was seen for BMI with medial longitudinal arch angle (r value= -0.71 for right and r value= -0.51); whereas a weak correlation exists between BMI and tibial torsion angle (r value= 0.17 for right and r value= 0.20).
