The main purpose of this book is to help Igbo families living in diaspora, especially Sweden, to begin to understand, speak and write the Igbo language in order to know, appreciate and promote the language, culture and customs. This book contains visual instructions to aid learning. The lessons contained in this book are simple to understand, easy to read, speak, and to write.

About the author










Ijeoma Chinedu Uba-Njoku holds a Degree of Bachelor of Laws degree (L.L.B) from Abia State University Uturu; she attended the Nigerian Law School Bwari Abuja 1999/2000 and was called to the Nigerian Bar in October 2000.
She also holds a Master of Education (MEd.) and Postgraduate Diploma in professional studies in Education (PGDSE) from the Open University UK, and a Diploma in Child Care and Child Psychology.
She worked briefly in the banking and legal sector before she moved to Sweden and she is currently working in a preschool institution. Her vast experience in the pre-school environment reinforced the need to write this book after realizing that the Igbo language is likely to go extinct if the children of Igbo extraction are not taught the language at an early stage of their formative years.
She is the founder of Nigerianska Språkskolan Göteborg, the first Nigerian language school in Sweden teaching major Nigerian languages.
She also the founder African Children and Youth Project (ACYP) in Sweden which aims to provide an educational platform where African children and youths properly integrate, discover, define, and identify who they are as human beings without losing their African identity in their host countries.
She is married to Joels Uba Njoku (author -Twist and Thorns) and they are blessed with five young adults Stephanie, Benita, Anita, Amanda and Angel.
