Germany's Great Lie - The Official German Justification of the War

Published in 1914 at the start of the First World War this German book was printed in English and circulated under the title of The Truth About Germany, with the objective of influencing America against Great Britain. By a fortunate chance it became possible to give it to the British public, word for word, notwithstanding that every precaution was taken by the German authorities to prevent a single copy from entering Britain. In this edition all the book's misstatements are contradicted, paragraph by paragraph, in italics.
Douglas Sladen was first professor of Modern History at Sydney University.
