Mental disorders affect a large portion of the world population and the need for integration of mental health care in Primary Care services has proven to be relevant internationally. To meet this demand, some collaborative care models have been developed around the world. The model implemented in Brazil is the Matricial Support, which, through the creation of the Family Health Support Centers (Núcleos de Apoio à Saúde da Família - ESF), in 2008, has been considered as fundamental in the qualification of the mental health care. The prevalence of emotional suffering in the population served by the FHS teams is high, possibly exceeding 50% of the cases, but the training of primary care professionals in the care of mental suffering is still inadequate. The objective of this study was to analyze the qualification of the care in Mental Health in Primary Care through the actions of Mental Health Matrix Support. It is a quantitative study (cross-sectional) and brings evidence that the development of shared actions is determinant for the qualification of mental health care in Primary Care.
