Informationen zum Autor Linda Gates is an actress, director, teacher, writer and Professor of Instruction in the Department of Theatre at Northwestern University where she is Head of Voice and the author of Voice for Performance and Speaking in Shakespeare's Voice: A Guide for American Actors published by Northwestern University Press. As a professional voice and dialect coach, she has worked both on and off-Broadway, in Chicago, regional theatre, opera and film.Linda Gates's special focus is coaching and directing Shakespeare and adapting poetic text for performance. She has directed with co-director Kiara Pipino The Tempest, Pericles, Much Ado About Nothing, and All's Well That Ends Well in which she played the Countess Roussillon at Prague Shakespeare Company and has directed and adapted Lysistrata by Aristophanes, The Four Quartets by T.S. Eliot; The Road Not Taken: The World of Robert Frost; American Voices: Home for the Rothermere Institute of Oxford University , and The Unabridged Journals of Sylvia Plath which she performed at the Oxford Playhouse in the UK.
