About the author
S. D. Doijode, PhD, is an eminent horticulturalist who has worked on seed storage for 20 years at the Indian Institute of Horticultural Research (IIHR), Bangalore. He is Head of the Section on Plant Genetic Research. He earned his PhD in Horticulture at the University of Agricultural Sciences, Bangalore, where he now teaches graduate courses. The author of more than 100 research publications in professional journals, he is also the author of three book chapters. Dr. Doijode is a life member of the Indian Society for Vegetable Sciences. He has made scientific trips to several countries to discuss and share research experiences in seed storage.
