Once Read as Ruin is centered on the domestic, aesthetics, intimacies between humans and human and animal, and union's faltering. The speakers in these poems probe expectation and dream, deconstruct and construct intimacy through relationships with humans and animals, like horses, rabbits, dogs, mice, and more.
