About the author

I started selling my cut garden roses to a few local floral designers and as they say, the rest is history. Now my farm has 72 acres of prunes, 20 acres of rice, 2 acres of flourishing garden roses, 1/4-acre of assorted specialty cut flowers and a nursery specializing in rose plants. In the winter, the coolers are stocked with bare root rose plants ready to make their way to their forever homes on gardens and farms across the county. Come early spring, the farm is filled with fresh cut tulips and flowering branches. My collection of garden roses includes modern hybrid teas, floribundas, English varieties, and climbers, each with its special characteristics, as they come alive in late spring. Professional floral designers covet my cut garden roses for weddings and special events while flower lovers from across the country purchase fresh-picked bouquets of garden roses that I ship right from the farm to their door.
