About the author

Dr. Robin Mead is a well-known British travel writer and author who has visited more than 100 countries, written more than 30 books, and now lives quietly by the sea in southern England. He has a Ph.D. in travel history, has contributed to newspapers and magazines all over the world, and besides being a former chairman of the British Guild of Travel Writers, he is an elected Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society and a Fellow of the Institute of Travel and Tourism.
