From the pages of James's Ragtag Adventures in Questworld comes Antoinette: Monster Vet, in her very own spin-off series.
Antoinette, or Ant for short, is an 11-year-old scientific genius who has learned everything she can about being a doctor from her mother Sara, who was considered one of the best doctors in the world. But instead of using her knowledge to help the humans of Ebraxxa, Antoinette has decided to use her skills to help the less fortunate creatures of the world, the monfolk.
Monfolk are your typical humanoid monsters like goblins and orcs who have decided to form their own towns and cities in hopes of becoming a bit more civilized than their wild counterparts. Despite their best efforts, the monfolk are still looked at by many humans as nothing more than wild creatures, and as such, humans want nothing to do with them, especially when it comes to giving them medicine.
So having taken a Hippocratic oath to help all monfolk, regardless of their race, Ant more often than not finds herself in some pretty dangerous situations on her quests to find just the right ingredients to create the medicines needed for her monstrous patients.
Antoinette: Monster Vet and the Gnomatic Plague contains 3 short stories filled with Orcs, Burbeasts, Gnomes, and one giant, man-eating-or in this case, vet-eating-mutant sunflower plant.
The Gnomatic Plague also includes Antoinette's introduction story, as first told in James's Ragtag Adventures in Questworld: The Eye of the Earth, only this time, it's told from Antoinette's point of view.
Antoinette: Monster Vet is a middle-grade fantasy series for fans of Percy Jackson, The Last Kids on Earth, Epic Zero, and Trapped in a Video Game
