About the author

Julian White is a Senior University Practitioner at the University of Huddersfield, where he leads on the PGCE in Secondary English. Julian also works as an independent educational consultant and is undertaking research at the University of Leeds, which is focused on the professional development of Early Career Teachers and education policy. He taught drama, music and English for many years and worked as a senior leader in 3 secondary schools, specialising in both student support and curriculum leadership.
