About the author

Barbara Tufford was born in Champaign, Illinois. She was brought up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, that is, until the age of 23. She then moved to the beautiful State of Tennessee and called it home for over 40 years. Jobs would take her to other states through the years but now retired, her roots are happily bound in Tennessee. She's traveled a lot through the United States and even got the chance to travel to Japan. Some of the places she's visited gave her inspiration for some of her ideas. Japan is a very inspirational place she says and a memory of a lifetime. Her first poem came to her at the age of five. From there, her imagination grew. When she was old enough to read, she discovered Dr. Seuss books, the inspiration of her imagination. She continued her poetry receiving a Laureate Certificated December 11th of 2002 and had two poems published in the International Library of Poetry. "Thoughts" and "Keepsake." "Keepsake" was written after the death of her grandmother, Alma Bradford. You can find poems under Barbara Jackson. Jackson was Barbara's late husband. When she was asked about her art drawings and photographs? All she could say was "I'm afraid that's a whole new story itself."
