L'histoire d'une adresse parisienne. 83 Marceau résume les transformation architecturales et urbaines de la capital. Racheté par la Société Foncière Lyonnaise en 2001, l'immeuble conçu par Claude Barré, emule d'Albert Laprade, a fait l'objet d'une restructuration ambitieuse de 2019 à 2021. Pour l'occasion, Dominique Perrault a imagine appliquer sa théorie dite du Groundscape sur l'utilisation des sous-sols afin de valoriser un veritable iceberg de béton présentant six niveaux en superstructure et huit en infrastructure. Au dèla, ce projet mèle désir d'élègance et imperative écologique dans le seul souci de l'exellence.
The history of a Parisian address. 83 Marceau represents a summary of architectural and urban transformations that have taken place in the city. Purchased by the Société Foncière Lyonnaise in 2001, the building, designed by Claude Barré, an architect whose work was influenced by Albert Laprade, underwent an ambitious redevelopment programme between 2019 and 2021. It was an opportunity for Dominique Perrault to apply his Groundscape theory to the use of the underground levels of this « concrete iceberg » with six storeys above ground and eight levels below. Beyond this, the project combines a desire for elegance with ecological imperatives, with the single aim of achieving the highest possible degree of excellence.
