Have you ever caught a glimpse
Of a creature's sheer delight?

I am sure that's what I witnessed
On one evening close to night...

This book is a collection of fourteen original poems and illustrations meant to engage and challenge the school-age child, introducing them to themes such as nature, emotional regulation, and faraway places.

About the author

Kathryn "Wren" Haasch lives in Kirkland, Washington near Seattle. She grew up in Wisconsin and later roamed the wilds of Colorado, Idaho, and Oregon prior to settling in Washington (while also pursuing her studies). She especially loves dogs, birds, and spending time near lakes, rivers, oceans, mountains, and prairies. Kathryn works as a Speech-Language Pathologist and hopes to impart her love of words and communication to others.

Her artwork is mixed-media and consists of watercolor paintings, drawings, and doodles from her journals reassembled into the illustrations presented here.
