About the author

Kacey Deann has always loved animals but has a special place in her heart for horses. Born on a dairy farm in Nova Scotia in 2008 and now living on a hobby farm, she is fortunate to have been around animals every day of her life. She loves sharing stories about how unique animals are and about the many lessons they can teach us. To her, animals are the best therapists and secret keepers. When she was 13, her mom challenged her to come up with a way to help fund her passion for horses (as they are very expensive), so she started writing children's books. Her mission is to inspire other children and to share how incredible her animals are with the world. Each book is based on the real personalities of her family's animals and how they teach us so many things about living life to the fullest, without judgement and with unconditional love for everyone.
