Ever since, the drive for a more stable and esthetic restoration has led to the use of porcelain in dentistry. Ceramics have a firmly established role in clinical dentistry owing to their biocompatibility, excellent esthetic properties and mechanical strength. Thus, advancement of ceramics has marked a quantum leap in the field of esthetic dentistry.
