Mariana Pineda es un personaje popular que tuvo mucha repercusión literaria tras su muerte en 1836; ya que fue considerada el icono de la libertad. Muchos autores recrearon la vida y la muerte de la heroína. Federico García Lorca realizó una obra teatral basada en hechos históricos y hechos ficticios sobre Mariana: Romance popular en tres estampas (1925). La obra teatral fue construida a partir del material popular de transmisión oral y del material literario que surgió desde 1836; así se creó un nuevo escrito mezclando el material popular y el material culto del poeta.

Carmen Alonso Mozo was born in Cadiz on October 5, 1994. Graduated in Hispanic Philology and in the Master's Degree in Hispanic Studies in the Specialty of Teaching Spanish L1/L2 by the University of Cadiz. Passionate about Spanish language and culture and with experience in teaching Spanish to foreign students.
