It also looks at how and whether Iceland has already implemented it. Furthermore, this paper deals with two theses. The first thesis deals with whether Iceland is one of the pioneering countries in the development and unification of sustainability and tourism. The second thesis is that Iceland is the perfect destination to practice Green Tourism.First of all, this paper presents some basic information about Iceland. Then the concept of sustainability is introduced. Afterwords, the concept of Green Tourism is introduced. Also, the demand for this kind of tourism is presented and the demanders are briefly defined. Afterwards an overview is given of what Iceland already offers in terms of sustainability and Green Tourism. Finally, a summary is given and the theses and the re-search question are answered.
