About the author

Kristian Kålund (1844-1919): dansk filolog, som var tilknyttet det Arnamagnæ-anske Institut i København. Ud over sin oversættelse af Sturlunga saga udgav Kålund bl.a. tekstkritiske udgaver af flere af sagaerne, en historisk-topografisk be-skrivelse af Island og et et omfattende katalog over tekster i håndskriftsamlingen.
