About the author










Liz Stewart is the Lead Curator of Archaeology and the Historic Environment at the Museum of Liverpool. She is an archaeologist with a research background in buildings archaeology, who has undertaken fieldwork and research on sites covering many periods. Elizabeth curates the regional archaeology collection, using objects to explore the stories of the region's past. She is author of 'Courts and Alleys: A History of Liverpool Courtyard Housing'.
