Aquatic insects are of great importance for the maintenance of bodies of water because when they feed they transform fallen trunks and leaves, among other materials, into smaller particles that can be used by other organisms. In addition, they are food sources for many animals. The knowledge about the species that make up the savannah fauna of Roraima is limited, little is known about the dynamics of populations and community composition. The taxonomic research in partnership with the ecological approach is very important for the knowledge of their structure and function in aquatic ecosystems. Thus, this work aimed to know the fauna of aquatic insects associated with macrophytes in a Savanna stream in the PPBio Grid, Cauamé, Boa Vista, Roraima.
