About the author

Lesley Hill began her education career as a volunteer adult literacy tutor in East London in the 1980s. She has worked as a primary school teacher, education leader and executive, and has facilitated and led a range of teaching and leadership training courses. She currently enjoys life as a freelance author and school governor.Gemma Whitby has worked in primary education since qualifying in 2010 and has a Masters in Teaching and Learning. She has experience as a classroom teacher, middle leader and senior leader, as well as in leading primary science training.
