About the author

Born in England in 1849, Frances Hodgson Burnett was a playwrite and author, best known for the enduring children's classics, The Secret Garden, A Little Princess, and Little Lord Fauntleroy. She died in 1924 in America, where she spent the latter part of her life.Katie Dicker is a writer and editor who has worked in publishing for over 25 years. She has a degree in politics and philosophy and specialises in children's educational publishing.
