It consists of the Supplication (Istikhara) by the spouses, looking at the proposed spouse, consultation by the parties involved, the proposal/Consent of the spouse, Marriage/Wedding contract, the wedding feast (Walima) and the Rights of the spouses. The paper also examines some of the pre-wedding challenges in our contemporary society as well as Islamic view on them.
