About the author
As a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT-KA), a credential granted by the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers (CCPDT), Steve Brooks completed rigorous tests on humane training practices using the latest scientific knowledge related to dog training. He offers workshops and seminars and attends conferences across the United States and is also a proud member of the Pet professional Guild (association for force-free pet professionals), and a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT). Steve is a Family Paws Parent Education Licensed Presenter, Licensed Dogs & Storks Presenter, and Licensed Dogs & Toddlers Presenter. He was one of the first non-Veterinarian experts CPDT/KA invited to attend the Post-Graduate Institute for Applied Clinical Behavioral Medicine at the North American Veterinary Conference in 2005, led by Dr. Karen Overall.
