About the author










Dr. Alan Brown is an award-winning professor of English at the University of West Alabama. He has a deep interest in Southern folklore, especially Southern ghostlore and African-American culture and music and has written over thirty books. When Dr. Brown is not teaching or writing, he enjoys reading thrillers and watching movies. He also does a little ghost hunting on the side. His favorite activities, however, include traveling to haunted places with his wife, Marilyn, and playing with his two grandsons, Cade and Owen.
