About the author
Cornelia Funke is one of Germany’s best-loved children’s authors. She started out as an illustrator but found herself itching to write her own stories. Since then she has established a huge international fanbase with books such as Dragon Rider and her Inkheart trilogy, which was adapted into a major motion picture. Cornelia lives in Los Angeles.
Kasia Matyjaszek is an illustrator based in Edinburgh. She graduated from Edinburgh College of Art with a Masters in illustration and her coursework was highly commended by the Macmillan Book Prize. She took part in Picture Hooks and her work was exhibited in The Scottish National Galler.
