Informationen zum Autor Lisa McGee  is an award-winning playwright and screenwriter from Derry and the creator, writer and executive producer of the critically acclaimed Channel 4 sitcom  Derry Girls . She is also Northern Ireland's number one  Murder She Wrote  fan. Lisa's plays include  Girls and Dolls, The Heights  and  Jump!.  Her other TV credits include previous original Channel 4 comedy series  London Irish  as well as  Being Human, The White Queen, Indian Summers  and  Raw . She also co-created, co-wrote and executive produced Channel 5 thriller  The Deceived  with her husband Tobias Beer. Derry Girls  is inspired by Lisa McGee's own experiences of growing up in Northern Ireland amidst immense civil conflict. It is executive produced by Caroline Leddy  (Friday Night Dinner, London Irish, The Inbetweeners)  and Liz Lewin ( The End, London Irish, Teachers). Klappentext "It's a time of armed police in armoured Land Rovers and British Army check points. But it's also the time of Murder She Wrote, The Cranberries, Salt-N-Pepa, Doc Martens and The X Files. And while The Troubles may hang over her hometown, Erin has troubles of her own, like the fact that the boy she's in love with (actually in LOVE with) doesn't know she exists. Or that her Ma and Aunt Sarah make her include her weirdo cousin Orla in everything she does. Or that head teacher Sister Michael refuses to acknowledge Erin as a literary genius. Not to mention the fact that her second best friend has ALMOST had sex, whereas Erin's never even kissed anyone yet. These are Erin's Troubles."--Provided by publisher. Zusammenfassung The hilarious tie-in to the brilliant, award-winning Channel 4 comedy Derry Girls.
