This book is about my work of PG thesis at the School of Architecture and Planning, Bhopal, India. The book is about the study of various memorial projects across the globe and the implementation of planning and design inferences into a memorial design at Raebareli, India. The book is divided into four major parts, first part is an introduction of the memorial and memorial landscapes and an analysis of various memorials in India and other parts of the world. The second part is a literature review of various approaches to memorial landscape design and formulates a Narrative Sensorial Approach to Landscape Design. The third part analyses the event history, site context and the site selected for the Memorial Landscape Design. The last part is the design interpretation of event history through spatial planning and design.
