About the author
I'm a busy mum of four and always developing fun recipes, baking cakes and teaching my craft is what I love to do. When lockdown hit on the 13th of March, I knew I had to do something to keep my kids entertained and save my sanity... I'll just bake!
I decided to start a Facebook live baking show every morning for all those isolating in their own homes, to help lighten the anxiety levels and share my love of traditional bakes to a country in lockdown.
Trying to get my kids up to establish some sort of daily routine during lockdown was like nailing jelly to a wall! But, I persevered and each morning either Lucy or Sophie would take it in turn to film my class and were rewarded with food!
In a nutshell, this book is dedicated to all those who whisked, cracked, walloped and smashed their way through all my recipes during lockdown and kept smiling. Had it not been for your continuous support, I would never have written this book.
Encouraged by you all, I've put together some of your favourites and created your family friendly book of escapism. There are over 100 simple recipes to enjoy. So when things get tough, or your nerves get frazzled, keep those cake tins full, and bring out a soothing cuppa to enjoy with your family.
