About the author
Dr. Amber Tichenor has a PhD in I/O Psychology and is the founder of To Be, Coaching + Consulting®. She is a thought leader in the topic of women’s rivalry and has 20+ years’ experience as an Organizational Change Strategy and Leadership consultant where she helped guide businesses through transformational change. Amber is deeply passionate about the phenomenon of rivalry between women. She has studied this issue extensively and wrote her PhD dissertation thesis, “A Phenomenological Study of the Experience Of Rivalry Among Women in The Workplace” about it. She consults with organizations and offers speaking engagements and workshops on this important topic. Amber’s goal is to promote collaboration over competition.
Amber writes a monthly blog that addresses specific topics about rivalry between women. She has been published in the On Purpose Woman Magazine and has had guest appearances on numerous podcasts and webinars. She is a leader and member of BossBabes RVA, a community of 7100+ female entrepreneurs whose focus is to uplift, learn and surround themselves with motivated, passionate and creative individuals. She is also a founding member of the “Rebelle Community,” a “club without a clubhouse, that’s inclusive to local women and gender minorities.” Amber resides in Richmond, VA with her husband, two children and fur-baby Stella.
