A cross-sectional descriptive observational study was conducted in the Nursing Home of the Tamarindo Health Area of the Municipality of Florencia, during the period from June 2018 to May 2019. The scientific problem addressed was: what are the risk factors of geriatric quality of life? Aiming to describe the risk factors of geriatric quality of life of the CMF No 5. The universe was 25 patients and the sample coincides with the universe. The data collection technique used was the survey guide and the individual clinical history of each patient. The results were expressed in tables showing that the predominant age group was 75 years and older for 36.58%, the sex that most affected was male with 59.77%, in terms of physical activity 65.97% performed it insufficiently, according to food habits 57,7 % had an inadequate diet, 58.7 % consumed caffeine in relation to toxic habits, 53.09 % did not have an adequate rest regime and half of the patients under study suffered from heart disease.
