Opposition activist Alexei Navalny was hospitalized on 20 August after a plane flying from Tomsk to Moscow made an emergency landing in Omsk. The blogger became ill on board. The S7 airline said that Navalny had not eaten or drunk anything during the flight. When he arrived at the hospital, doctors connected him to a ventilator. Later, he slipped into a coma. His condition in Omsk is stable, but he is on a ventilator. The cause of Navalny's condition is a metabolic disorder. Oxybutyrates and barbiturates were not detected in the blood. The blogger's diagnosis was reported by doctors in Omsk. Navalny was taken to the emergency hospital. According to some reports, the blogger might have consumed alcohol the day before, the signs of intoxication showed by Navalny's tests. Later, a plane from Germany flew for Navalny and took him to Germany. The blogger was received by a clinic in Berlin.
