About the author

The Smiths are an ordinary couple living in North Florida. They volunteer at several local prisons, teaching Bible classes for the incarcerated. A class they have taught many times is "How to Hear God's Voice." They teach and practice journaling, which is two-way prayers or conversations with God. They have also been involved in Kairos, Marriage Encounter, and Celebrate Recovery. Harold is a retired software engineer. He likes games and puzzles. Gena is a homemaker and mother of their three adults. Among her many skills are floral design, home design and decorating, and childcare. She is a wildlife enthusiast and she is an excellent cook.
