About the author

"With determination and sacrifice, any dream can become a reality."

Nazmul Chowdhury, also known affectionately as Azam, was born in a small rural village called Charhogla in Barisal, East Pakistan (modern-day Bangladesh).
As a child, Nazmul was a dreamer, and spent his days dreaming of travelling around the world, visiting different countries and meeting different people.

He was profoundly affected after tragically losing his father at the very young age of four. Growing up without a father or a father figure was very difficult, and forced him to take on the responsibility of looking after his nine brothers and sisters.

Initially wanting to be a doctor, the family's financial situation unfortunately prevented him from following this dream. After much sacrifice, he managed to put himself through university and achieved a Bachelor's Degree in Science. With the help of his older brother, who was already living in Australia, Nazmul, at the age of nineteen, set off for his new life in Australia.

His one motto in life is: "With determination and sacrifice, any dream can become a reality."
