About the author

Award-winning author Louise Spilsbury, who also writes under the name Louise Kay Stewart, has written over 250 books for young people on a wide range of exciting subjects. She loves writing children's books as it gives her the chance to keep learning about new stuff. She lives and works near the coast in South Devon and loves to walk on the beach and swim in the sea after work. Louise won The English Association Margaret Mallett Award for Children's Non-Fiction 2019 for Rebel Voices: the rise of votes for women.Toby Newsome is an award-winning illustrator working in Cape Town, South Africa. He has worked for some of the leading publishers and advertising agencies in South Africa and abroad. Toby was selected to take part in the 2017 Chen Bochui International Children's Literature Award Exhibition in Shanghai. His book, Grandma's List written by Portia Dery and published by African Bureau won the 2018 Children's Africana Book Award in the USA.
