Jeffrey Haynes is Emeritus Professor of Politics at London Metropolitan University, UK. His areas of expertise are religion and international relations, religion and politics, democracy and democratisation, development studies, and comparative politics and globalisation. His publications include more than 50 books, most recently: Peace, Politics, and Religion (ed. 2020), Religion, Conflict and Post-Secular Politics (2020), The Routledge Handbook to Religion and Political Parties (ed. 2020), and From Huntington to Trump: Thirty Years of the Clash of Civilizations (2019).

Summary

No analysis of the Donald Trump phenomenon and American neo-nationalism is satisfactory without examining the impact of both the Christian Right and the secular nationalist right, both in the USA and abroad. This book analyses the political impact of both strands.
