About the author










Frank Hoffmeister is the vice chairman of Europchess, the chess club of the European Institute in Brussels. He is a lawyer with a current chess rating of 2200. His next work will be published under the title: 'Chess Theory from Stamma to Steinitz, 1735-1894'. He is also a member of the international organisation 'Chess History & Literature Society'.
