Shiguo Chen, Professor, Zhejiang University, China
Shiguo Chen is Professor and Associate Department Head of Food Science and Nutrition in Zhejiang University in Hangzhou, China. He obtained his Dr degree from Ocean University of China and has spent most of his career in food functional carbohydrates research at Zhejiang University.
Professor Chen has published over 200 scientific papers and more than 50 patents. He has received a number of academic awards, including two first-class awards from the Minister of Education of China (2019), "Hongkong Scholar" (2011), and International Conference of Food Factors (ICOFF) Young Scientist Award (2011). Most recently, he has received the Yangtze River Distinguished Young Professor of Ministry of Education of China (2019), and carried out the role of Associate Editor Food Science and Nutrition, and Guest Editor in Chief for Food Research International.
