About the author

Timothy Knapman's first book for Macmillan was Little Ogre's Surprise Supper, illustrated by Ben Cort and the topsy-turvy pop-up book Fantastical Flying Machines illustrated by Simon Wild. He is also the author of the popular Mungo series, illustrated by Adam Stower and Guess What I Found in Dragon Wood, illustrated by Gwen Millward. Also a playwright, Tim's work on various musicals, operas and plays has taken him all over the world. Timothy lives in Surrey.Joe Berger is a prize-winning illustrator and animator. In 2011 he was a winner of Booktrust’s Best New Illustrators Award. In 2010 Joe was the official illustrator for World Book Day. He has also illustrated Frank Cottrell Boyce's continuation of Ian Fleming's Chitty-Chitty-Bang-Bang, including Chitty Chitty Bang Bang Flies Again and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang Over the Moon.
